Site Survey & Measurment
Before any design or visualization work begins, accurate site information is essential. Site surveying and measuring existing conditions provide the foundation for reliable architectural models and design decisions. This process involves carefully documenting the dimensions, layout, and physical characteristics of a space or building. As a designer I capture wall lengths, ceiling heights, window and door placements, structural features, and any irregularities that may affect the project. In many cases, photographs and 3D scans are also used to supplement hand measurements, ensuring nothing is overlooked. By creating a clear record of existing conditions, I can work with confidence, knowing my plans are grounded in accurate data. This step not only reduces errors during the design and construction phases but also streamlines collaboration between architects, engineers, and contractors.
